With over 30 exhibitors, over 77,000 expected visitors (7 to 77 years old), the art fair provides a platform for collectors, galleries, curators, artists, and art journalists to network meaningfully and create thriving connections. MoBU has the ambition to be the new place where the fast-growing art markets, artists and their works are propelled into the spotlights of the international art world.
The first edition of MoBU will explore no theme and all themes. At MoBU the only criteria is the quality of the artistic work, while our focus is on showcasing the latest and most innovative contemporary art from Central and Eastern Europe, encompassing a wide range of media including but not limited to painting, prints, photography, sculpture, installations, drawings, film, video, new media, and conceptual art. Experimentation with bold ideas and visions are encouraged, and expected, along with timeless revolutionary coups, inner transformations and scenarios with surprise endings, induction, deduction and irrational in-between, dead serious current affairs and live comedy, waste and overstatements, hot topics in cold abstracts, as well as sublime figurative expressions. The aim of the fair is to expose emerging and contemporary artists and galleries to young and seasoned publics alike: collectors, established and up-and-coming institutions, artist collectives and artist-run spaces, as well as art enthusiasts.
20% discount for exhibitors is on until March 30. The interested galleries and or artists are subject to no theme, and no selection conditions. A validation of the proposed work by MoBU team and art consultants will take place once the interest has been expressed via the online form below. Confirmed participants will be promoted before, during and after the art fair through social and traditional media (MoBU Facebook and Instagram are currently reaching over 200,000 individual accounts each, and the numbers are expected to grow significantly once the event approaches).
