Vitalie Butescu graduated from “Ioan Andreescu” Academy of Visual Arts from Cluj-Napoca, and is an active member of the Romanian Fine Artists' Union. He is an impressionist painter with a wide artistic career: more than forty solo exhibitions in Romania and abroad, several group exhibitions, as well as participations in art work camps and international art fairs (among which we mention "Today's painters in Balchik", 2008 edition of the Geneva - Europ'Art Art Fair or Five Plus Art Gallery in Vienna, 2016, within the project "New Colours of Moldova"). His works are in private collections in Romania, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Hungary, Greece, Slovenia, Moldova, Japan, UK, USA, and in museums of contemporary art in Bucharest - Cotroceni, Aiud, Medgidia, Constanța, Slatina, Râmnicu Sărat, Galați.
