Vali Irina Ciobanu is a professional visual artist and a member of UAPR Bucharest, specializing in painting. She began her artistic journey at 15 in the studio of painter Dan Botezan. After training in icon painting and restoration, she dedicated herself to easel painting, developing a unique leather painting technique inspired by a Renaissance recipe. Her works have been exhibited in prestigious venues, including the National Museum of Maps and Old Books in Bucharest, Expo 2020 Dubai, and during the 58th Venice Biennale. She has also exhibited in the USA, Canada, Italy, France, South Korea, and Taiwan. Her works are part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Art in South Korea, the Museum of Art in Oltenița, and the Octavian Moșescu Museum in Râmnicu Sărat. She is the creator of the labels for La Fântâna, Sestina, and Regno Recaș, has illustrated books, and painted murals for the Japanese Studies Center at ASE. Since 2018, she has coordinated painting courses at the Mihai Eminescu Cultural Center in Bucharest.
