Noon Azaki (1953) approaches things with a natural sense of freedom, which allows him to effortlessly navigate between different artistic genres and styles. For him, it is the content and message that invite the appropriate form. His life and art are fundamentally shaped by his relationship with life itself—his love for it, his constant sense of wonder. “I am lucky to be here,” he says. This optimistic, life-affirming attitude and playful freedom are clearly reflected in his works. Former art collector and gallery owner Noon Azaki began his career in music, composing and producing, while consistently pursuing painting. In 1991, he founded one of Hungary's first private galleries and auction houses, as well as the MEO Contemporary Art Collection, the country's first private contemporary art museum. In recognition of his cultural contributions, he was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Republic. His artworks are featured in prominent private collections, and he has participated in numerous exhibitions both domestically and internationally.
