The MNTRplusC program is an artist-run contemporary art project that takes place in the basement of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant under the cinema, and is coordinated by the artist Ilina Schileru. The 11 contemporary art exhibitions it has organized since its launch in April 2021 have pursued either an inter-generational dialogue between local artists or international collaborations. Part of the exhibitions included in the MNȚRplusC program contained referential elements for the ethnographic heritage of the Peasant Museum.

Art courses and extracurricular activities for immigrant children constitute an adjacent activity of the MNȚRplusC program. Through these, the community of refugee/immigrant students meets that of Bucharest students.
