Felix Aftene lives and works in Iași, being recognized both on the national and international art field due to his rich artistic activity: painting, sculpture, murals or new media.

He graduated valedictorian from the Arts Academy “George Enescu” in Iași back in 1996 and he was the president of the Iași Branch of the Visual Artists Union of Romania. His artworks can be found in the collections of the National Art Museum of Romania and the National Contemporary Art Museum of Romania.

He has had over 40 solo shows and was awarded in 2016 the National Prize for Painting of the Visual Artists Union of Romania. Felix Aftene’s artworks focus on the human subject, enriched by myths, who crosses the trajectory of existence, fluctuating between the joys of the spirit and of the body.
