Claudia Prelipcean, a passionate 59-year-old painter, invites us on a fascinating journey through the artistic universe of nature, reinterpreted through the lenses of mathematics. His exhibition at MOBU 2024 reveals a remarkable artistic evolution, from classical painting to bold experiments with diverse techniques and materials.
Although trained as a mathematician, Claudia discovered in painting a way to express her passion for nature. His initial works, such as "Self-Portrait" and "Scaieți", made in oil on canvas, reflect the influence of classical painting, demonstrating an impeccable mastery of the technique.
Claudia's artistic evolution was marked by the exploration of new and original techniques. His brave approach combines colored inks with charcoal, acrylics with colored pencils, encaustic but also plastic materials from nets glued to cardboard. This diversity reflects the artist's curiosity and desire to constantly experiment.
The fundamental concept of nature is the basis of the artist's creations, being an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Claudia is fascinated by the harmonious proportions present in nature, which she transposes in her works. Inspired by the mathematics of Fibonacci, she applies the principles of the Fibonacci sequence to her compositions, creating natural spirals that evoke the organic growth of trees and other plant elements.
Although his works are imbued with a mathematical harmony, Claudia does not neglect the emotional side of art. The critical spirit of the artist leads her to sometimes censor the compositions, considering that there is always room for improvement. This self-demand led to remarkable productivity, with Claudia managing to produce numerous works of exceptional quality in a relatively short time.
Claudia Prelipcean's exhibition at MOBU 2024 offers the opportunity to discover an original artist with a modern vision, who harmoniously combines mathematics, abstract and art to create a unique vision of the world.
