The World Today

The 3D Group consists of three sculptors who are members of the same family: Alfred Dumitriu, Giulian Octav Dumitriu and Vlad Dumitriu.

The group debuted in 2006 with a successful exhibition at the famous Pagani Foundation in Castellanza, Milan, Italy.

This time, under the theme "The World Today", the group proposes a scrutiny of the contemporary realities which are of concern for the whole of humanity, transposing into forms - concrete, physical, volumetric - ideas, concepts, fears and experiences arising from concerns such as global warming, war, famine, family, children, human life, continuity, trying to raise an alarm signal, but keeping a large dose of optimism.

Alfred Dumitriu makes a sun like a scarecrow, carved in wood in good popular tradition. In fact, he is a conductor full of candor, surrounded by a choir of families and children carved in stone, replicas of the sunrise over the sea, reflections of the Great Conductor.

Giulian Octav Dumitriu exhibits human masks with various expressions that take the form of thoughts and fears, with a strong decorative effect, offering an interesting visual comfort.

Vlad Dumitriu exhibits the replica of an interactive installation inspired by the Star Wars universe in which he wants to place contemporary technical devices that take the viewer's image and project it into a reflection of the future.
